know which ones to choose.

consider joining an affiliate program before doing some due diligence on it.

2. Will it cost you any money to join? Affiliate programs are usually free to join, so if there is a cost involved find out what the reason for that charge is and unless you are happy with the answer look for another program.

3. What payment methods do they use for their commissions for example is it via Paypal or do they issue checks? If they issue checks is this done monthly or more often and if it is once a month on what date can you expect to be paid?

With Some affiliate programs you will be required to reach a certain minimum in commission before the company will issue you with a check. In other words there is a minimum level that you are required to reach before they will post the check out to you.

4. How are the referrals tracked from an affiliate’s website and how long will those remain in the system. It is important to know how long these referrals of yours will stay in the system as many people do not buy things immediately. They like

5. Find out who the retailer of the affiliate program is. You need to learn something about the people you are going to be doing business with and to discover whether or not it is a solid company. This point is extremely important because you do not want your name and reputation to be associated with a disreputable affiliate company.

The more you are able to find out about the retailer the easier is will be for you to decide if the affiliate program is the right one for your own Legitimate Home Based Business.

6. Another point to consider is whether the affiliate program is a one or two tier program. A one tier program will only pay you for work that you personally have done, where as a two tier program pays you a commission for what you have done personally plus any work that is done by people that you may have recruited into the program.

stand to gain from sponsoring people and earn a residual income with very little extra work. The beauty of residual income is that it will still bring in money for you even when you are cannot work.

Last but not least is what sort of commission the company actually pays. This differs from company to company and you need to be aware of before
you get involved how much you can earn per sale. If the percentage per sale that they pay is low it might not be worth your while and possibly would be more beneficial to find another affiliate program.
